Registration Citizen Science Seminar

Welcome to the registration for the Citizen Science Seminar series!

Citizen science is increasingly being used in a wide range of disciplines. Well known are many ecological projects in which citizen scientists collect data on the occurrence or distribution of organisms, but also in the humanities and social sciences scientists are increasingly using citizen science.

In this lecture series, organised by the coordinators of the Austrian Citizen Science platform Österreich forscht (www.citizen-science.at), guest speakers have the opportunity to present current projects and discuss them with interested people. These lectures will take place four times a semester and will primarily cover projects from German-speaking countries. The lecture series will be organised as an open course at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, i.e. students of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences as well as all interested persons outside the university are welcome.

Participants of the lectures will get an insight into current research and projects in the field of Citizen Science and learn not only how a project can work, but also what pitfalls there are.

All registered persons will receive an email with the link to the lecture shortly before it starts. We use Zoom to transmit the lecture.
